Bridal trials are one of my favourite parts of my job. To take time out with each of my brides, discuss all things weddings, plans, honeymoons and of course makeup! Please don’t feel daunted by the trial. Some brides know exactly what they want with their wedding makeup, some brides really aren’t sure at all and both are perfect with me! Just remember a trial is called a trial for a reason, you might want to try something to see how you find it.. for example.. lashes? Never worn lashes before but fancy a little bit of definition? Let’s try a soft half lash on the trial! Then you can decide what’s best for the day itself!
The trial is a great opportunity for us both to sit in front of a mirror and create a beautiful makeup look together! We can both input, change and tweak until what we have is perfect & sometimes you might need to wear the look for a full day, keep looking in the mirror, get a few opinions and that’s exactly what I’d recommend! We can absolutely alter as much or as little on the wedding day itself, but it’s important we have an idea of where we are going from the trial.
Makeup trials are open to everyone having makeup on the day from Mum, Nan, bridesmaids but I always recommend at least the bride to have a trial! There is no perfect time to have a trial, some people have one others have 2-3 trials to see different looks. It can be helpful to try and tie them in with a hair trial, dress fitting, hen do or night out so you get full use out of looking beautiful and can put it to the test!
